Calcium Sandoz

For ADULTS and CHILDREN over the age of 11

  • CALCIUM Sandoz®: Each effervescent tablet contains 500 mg elemental calcium per tablet
  • Sugar free
  • Combined with Vitamin D, a healthy diet and regular exercise, to possibly help reduce the risk of osteoporosis
  • If calcium deficiency is present, may be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Appropriate doses (from food and supplementary intake) for pregnant women are usually 1 000 to 1 300 mg calcium. Daily intake in pregnancy should not exceed 1 500 mg
  • Available in packs of 20

Recommended dose1

  • 500 to 1000 mg daily
  • Equivalent to 1 CALCIUM Sandoz® 500 mg effervescent tablet 1 to 2x daily in children (over 1 year) and adults

Administration1

  • For oral use only. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water (approx. 200 ml) and drink immediately. The potential clouding of the solution has no impact on efficacy
  • CALCIUM Sandoz® can be taken with or between meals

For ADULTS ONLY2

  • CALCIUM Sandoz® FORTE: Each effervescent tablet contains 600 mg elemental calcium, and 400 IU Vitamin D3
  • Combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, may help to reduce the risk of osteoporosis
  • Vitamin D assists in the absorption and use of calcium phosphorous
  • Available in packs of 20 or 40

Recommended dose2

  • Take 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily
  • Equivalent to 600 to 1 200 mg of calcium and 400 to 800 IU of Vitamin D3 daily
